My Story & Evolution for a Purpose
From vulnerability to recognising potential
I was born with cerebral palsy. Fortunately, I grew up in a family that valued care and relationships. Yet, as I progressed through life, I experienced and observed how vulnerability could sometimes lead to dependence, sympathy or protection rather than recognition of a person’s potential and capacity to evolve.
I also encountered situations where confidence, social influence, privilege or the ability to express oneself seemed to carry more weight than underlying capabilities, sincerity or commitment. These experiences shaped my perceptions, but I gradually realised that they did not necessarily explain everyone’s intentions or circumstances.
I chose the path of knowledge, earned multiple professional qualifications and developed my capabilities through experience. Over time, I led transformative initiatives and anchored discussions across business verticals and domains within a conglomerate, helping build organisational resilience.
After retirement, I became involved in the startup ecosystem as a mentor. I also engaged with global forums exploring scalable innovation models and technological enablers. Along the way, I encountered situations where the pursuit of resources, scale and profitability appeared to overshadow human potential, continuous evolution and lasting impact.
From professional transformation to personal reflection
My professional journey helped me overcome several barriers, but it also revealed limitations in my own understanding.
My focus on professional responsibilities sometimes came at the expense of personal relationships and emotional connections. I found it difficult to understand why concern, advice or feedback offered with good intentions was not always received in the same spirit.
Over time, I began recognising that good intentions alone do not ensure positive impact. People interpret situations through their own experiences, emotions, needs, expectations and circumstances. What I perceived as constructive guidance could be experienced differently by someone else.
I became more conscious of how my own feelings, disappointments and past experiences influenced my interpretations. Moving beyond immediate reactions required reflection, openness to other perspectives and a willingness to question my assumptions.
This led me towards a broader understanding: human evolution cannot be separated from relationships, cultures, institutions and the environments in which people live and work.
Prevailing practices, social expectations, emotional reactions, immediate pressures and increasingly powerful external stimuli may shape our choices. Yet these influences are not inherently negative, nor do they affect everyone in the same way. Their consequences depend on context, awareness, individual agency and the quality of our collective understanding.
I came to appreciate that holistic evolution requires more than developing individual capabilities. It also requires understanding one another, recognising interdependencies, nurturing trust and creating environments in which diverse people can realise their potential.
My journey continues. I do not claim to have overcome every personal feeling, assumption or limitation. Rather, I increasingly see the ability to reflect on them, understand their origins and respond with greater discernment as an essential part of lifelong co-evolution.
From individual journeys to collective possibilities
My experiences within the family and creative ecosystems further deepened this understanding.
Despite our differences, a thread of trust and love enabled me to support my son in making and showcasing short films. His film Broken Table, about a person living with Alzheimer’s disease, draws on the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi, exploring how vulnerability and imperfection can become part of a unique human story.
Through this experience, I observed challenges faced by creators navigating fragmented support systems, established industry structures and uncertainty. I also came to appreciate the transformative potential of narratives: their ability to move beyond surface impressions, reveal deeper human feelings and help us understand different perspectives.
Watching my granddaughter brought another dimension into focus. Her love, playfulness and curiosity reminded me that the foundations of evolution begin early in life, long before formal learning or professional achievement.
Meanwhile, advances in multimodal artificial intelligence opened new possibilities for contextual understanding, inclusive access and scalable collective intelligence. I began to see how technology, when guided by human values and responsible governance, could support rather than replace human agency and wisdom.
These experiences gradually converged into a larger realisation.
Isolated mentoring, fragmented initiatives and organisation-specific interventions cannot adequately address interconnected challenges. We need a reusable, context-aware foundation that enables independent people, initiatives and ecosystems to strengthen one another at scale.
Discovering my purpose
At 68, I found a purpose that brought these experiences together: to help build Jeevansarthi as a shared foundation for holistic, lifelong co-evolution.
Its Massive Transformative Purpose is: Holistic Co-evolution for the Transformed Next Normal.
I envision Jeevansarthi as a GPS for this journey—helping people, initiatives and ecosystems understand their contexts, discover possibilities, navigate change and strengthen one another through informed choices, trusted relationships and responsible orchestration.
The aim is not to merge independent journeys or prescribe a common path. It is to enable diverse transformative minds, narratives, initiatives and habitats to contribute voluntarily to a shared purpose, while retaining their independence.
My role as Founder and Chief Context & Ecosystem Architect is to help shape the principles, contextual understanding and shared architecture that can make this collective journey possible.
My own evolution continues, alongside the people and ecosystems whose journeys Jeevansarthi seeks to enable.
